How many days pay-or-quit notice does Ohio require?
Ohio requires 3 days for pay-or-quit under ORC 1923.04, with mandatory verbatim 'you are being asked to leave' language. The notice period starts the day after service. The notice must be written and include the amount of rent due, the deadline, the property address, and the landlord's signature. Serving by personal delivery, certified mail, or posting (where state law allows) counts as valid service. An incorrectly drafted or served notice voids the subsequent eviction.
