Document service, not a law firm

LeaseKit is a software tool that assembles landlord documents from templates and the information you provide. It is not a law firm. Using LeaseKit does not create an attorney client relationship.

Tailored to state rules, not your situation

Each template is tailored to the selected state’s landlord tenant rules, including notice periods, security deposit caps, mandatory disclosures, and late fee limits. The template covers the typical residential scenario for that state. It does not know whether your unit is rent regulated, whether a city or county ordinance adds requirements, or whether your specific facts raise unusual legal questions.

Housing law changes

State housing law changes year to year. LeaseKit’s template content is based on publicly available state statutes as of early 2026. Verify the current statute before using a generated document for anything time sensitive, including eviction notices and rent increases.

When to consult an attorney

If real money is at stake, an active dispute is underway, or the unit is rent regulated or under a local rent stabilization regime, consult a licensed attorney in the relevant state before sending or filing any document generated by LeaseKit.

No warranty

LeaseKit is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. LeaseKit does not guarantee that any generated document will be accepted by a particular court, landlord, tenant, or counterparty.
